summer is so close! we have 8 more days... 

even though i still have a lot to do, i'm not thinking about that right now-

i have been a complete slacker lately. 

so sorry i haven't kept this thing updated! hopefully i'll do better over the summer :) 

nevertheless, here are a few happenings since I last posted... 

my brother and sister in law had a gender reveal party back in april. 

it's a boy! 

they finally broke ground on my parents' lake lot! i'm very excited about spending lots of days here next summer ;) 

and, my "little" brother got married last weekend!! it was such a sweet ceremony, and we are so happy for the newlyweds. 

me and the handsome groom... is he really old enough to be married?!

spring break re-cap.

it's been a nice and relaxing week... that went by too fast, as always.


here's a little bit of what we did over break.

~for Easter, my family came to church with us, then we went to eat a yummy brunch at sullivan's in anderson.



~my mom and i spent a few relaxing days in charleston!

~we got hardwood floors!! this was a treat. we bought them last weekend and weren't expecting them to be delivered/installed for a couple more weeks. this is definitely something i've been wanting done for a while now, and i am loving the new look!!

~we celebrated my brother, scott, and his soon to be wife, holly, at a tailgate shower. it was so fun, and they got some good stuff :)

now, we can begin the countdown to summer :)

we made it.

it's spring break!!! finally! 

here's a little of what we worked on this past week...

jelly bean graphing. 

some of our egg drop projects... the kids did such a great job with this!

 it was so neat to see how each decided to package their egg. 

see the McDonald box? the egg inside it did not break- that one surprised me the most :) 
 

and of course, an Easter Egg Hunt! We walked down to the middle school for the fun. :)

Happy Spring! 

I'm so ready for warm weather, sunshine, and Spring Break! 

...only 6 more days :) 

Last weekend, we traveled to Rock Hill for a wedding shower for my soon to be sister-in-law, Holly! It was a "stock the kitchen" shower, and they got some really good stuff! Not to mention the decorations were so cute and the food was very yummy! 

Here are some of the bridesmaids with the bride! 

After the shower, we rode to Charlotte to go to IKEA and The Container Store. I got a new shelf for my classroom at IKEA that I'm going to use for math centers!  it's the little things...

Speaking of my classroom, we've been studying Community Helpers for the past couple of weeks. To kick off the unit, the kids had to take home a person cut-out and decorate it according to the community helper they'd like to be. I thought they turned out so cute! 

Last week, my brother, Paul, came to talk to my class about being a dentist. Even though I didn't get a picture, I assured him we all thought he did a great job! :)
